Albert Hammond Jr..........know any more than you did????

Stupid fucking shit.
My mom's loudddd chewing prompted me to pump up the volume and click on the closest thing to non-shit I could hope to enjoy....tried Mayday Parade's 2013 album MONSTERS IN THE CLOSET b/c it was on my "most recently played" list-thingy.......then despite the misgivings about clicking on a CD with some random dude's name plastered on it, I clicked on Albert Hammond Jr.'s MOMENTARY MASTERS...track 1 over, damn it, Ok, now track 2 has started, I don't know if Mom finished her food or if she picked up any of the damn hints I dropped, admittedly subtle as they were.......
Albert Dickjack Jr.'s name still means practically nothing.  Track 1 and two have sonic pleasantness, but unless you're doing some Hawaiian style dancing and want music to give the appearance of having a reason just in case someone might be staring at you through the window or you happen to be in public, this CD is a total void in terms of anything that matters.  Maybe the lyrics pertain to some self righteous political thinking...idk...
'bout damn time.  Track 3 has livened things up.  It's still ugly and stupid sounding, but whatever...

Look, ma -- I can read!!

I contacted my bank about an alert posted on their www homepage.  It read: "Important Information Reguarding the Windows 10 Release".  I got a response from them.  "Thank you for pointing out the error on our website; it has been corrected."  Once again, you're welcome :)
That is...unless you don't bank with Wood & Huston...and in that case, YOU'RE GONNA BURN IN HELL!!!  No, seriously, I don't mean that!  I was only kidding.......

To dream impossible dreams...

This strikes me as sad...

By Viola Yee @ Quora:

"In 2008, Polaroid ceased producing their signature instant film.  There was enough stock to last somewhere into 2009.  When it was gone, it was gone.  The company folded and all the trade secrets were lost with it.
No one knows how to duplicate Polaroid instant colour photos.  The original technology was lost ... that itself seems impossible but it happened less than 10 years ago.
The old cameras are easy to come by.  Every thrift store has one.

But the film has been re-invented (from scratch) by The Impossible Project.  They've done their best ... but it's not the same.  And not as good as the original technology that Mr. Land invented and perfected."

You can read it direct from the horse's mouth if you insist, via the link I posted right under here (or you can hunt for it on the internet if that's how you play...).  I don't think I'm technically allowed to have pasted the answer here...(sigh)...:

Gasp! No, really, I can't breath...

(update: SSI was mis-typed SSDI, just now noticed & has been corrected) (6:45 PM 7/25/15)

GASSP!  POISON!  POISONOUS AIR!  GASPP!

Unless congress can come to some kind of mostly logical agreement to fix the situation, SSI, often referred to as welfare or disability, will be no longer sometime in 2016.  If that happens, my lack of appearance at blogger will be much more frequent.

Other than that, I have not much to say....I managed to get a ride from my CPRC+(*f1) worker from my home to the gym thrice this week.  Usually it's twice if that.  so my muscles should be in good shape...provided I didn't tear anything, which I may have...they're pretty worn feeling, kinda sore...

I need to get the courage to ask my sis to cancel the pre-order of CHVRCHES upcoming album EVERY OPEN EYE (Sept 25).  I don't need her wasting money on my behalf.  She's bought me a computer, and numerous other gifts over the course of time (most of them nowhere near as extravagant as a computer), and I therefore don't find fault with sending her $.

Not sure if it makes any difference though.  The antichrist is hypothesized to get rid of paper money and use a barcode that he will implant in people, which is possibly what The Bible refers to when mentioning "The number of the beast".  Once that happens, it won't be long before I am literally a solder of Christ and money will hopefully not be a concern weighing on my head so heavily.  Ah....such a relaxing thought, despite the blood and gore that will cover the Earth during the course of the Final Battle.

So...I guess maybe I don't need courage...I just need...to quit being so damn lazy and apathetic....eek!

PAUL

I started watching PAUL, with Seth Rogen and a couple British dudes I'm not familiar with.  I turned it off about 40 minutes in because I got sick of it.  I wouldn't dare state any "facts" about what transpires beyond the point at which I turned it off, it is a remote possibility that the film may have proven to have merit, but the fact that Kirsten Wiig's character is the only one in the film that comes across as a cardboard stereotype made it fairly easy to predict where the film was going.  Basically, Kristen Wiig is depicted as being stupid and childish because she believes in Christ Jesus and everyone else in the film is doing their part to steer her from ignorance etc.
I can't believe anyone would be inspired by this film.  As far as I am aware, PAUL is not based on a true story.  Secondly, even if it were, just because an alien from outer space doesn't believe in God doesn't mean a damn thing.  People on this Earth that God created don't believe in God.  Does THAT prove anything?  Some people seem to think it does because it's easier to believe that the universe is a big meaningless pile of gunk than to ***READ*** and ***THINK***.  Thinking is fairly easy.  Listening to and/or reading someone else's thoughts and pondering them is much harder, which probably explains why fiction sells better than non-fiction, be it movies, books or stage plays...even movies and books that are "based on a true story" are often substantially truncated or fictionalized/romanticized to make the biopic at hand easier to relate to.
THIRDLY, The Bible does not mention aliens or weather they exist or not.  The opinions on aliens' existence held by Christians does not prove or disprove any passages in The Bible.  There are church groups that believe the events that took place on the day of Pentacost (often referred to as "speaking in tongues") cannot and will not ever happen again.  The Bible doesn't back this up nor does it refute it.  That is merely an OPINION held by some churches.

I read this Gallup Poll data that says just about everybody in this nation, Christian and otherwise, would not vote for an Evangelical Christian.  Since The Bible defines a Christian and an Evangelist as basically the same thing, I looked up the phrase "Evangelical Christian" online and was just as confused as I was to start with.  So I posted a question on Yahoo! Answers and nobody seemed to have an answer.  One guy said something about voting for someone who respects all people and all religions and some other guy posted this big hateful tirade about all the things wrong with Evangelical Christians.  Nothing anybody said answered my question.  The question, re-phrased so as to not intrude on Yahoo!'s intellectual copyrights, was "What sects of Christianity are against Evangelism?"  And then I referenced the information from Gallup's website.  It's really freakin' annoying how little you can learn from the internet.  There's maybe 1% of content on the internet that is genuine and noteworthy.  Everything else is lies, half-written truths and redundancy.

the quiet drum

Maybe you've listened to Phil Collins 1993 release BOTH SIDES.  Maybe you haven't.  If you have, you may or may not have heard the opening drumskin ruffle that accounts for 1.5(?) seconds of the song "Both Sides Of The Story" before "the song" "begins" (the prequel?)
I've always known of it b/c my mom would always be sure I had a good hi-fi system and I usually listened to my music with headphones.
I'm listening to it on my computer with cheap KOSS headphones.  My mom JUST GOT OUT OF BED as that sentence was being typed.  So the noise in this house is limited, was non existent but a short moment ago.  But I still could not hear the drum ruffle thingy that kicks off the CD.  I used to use my Seiki LCD TV's built in speakers and I couldn't hear it then either.  I was amazed after I bought a Vizio soundbar for $80 + tax - 5% REDcard (debit) discount @ Target (whatever that totaled, don't remember the exact amount) and for the first time in a rediculously long time I could HEAR IT!
I saw set photos of Paul Feig's GHOSTBUSTERS reboot.  looks promising.  I don't expect it to top or compete with the original.  I'll probably just see it out of brand loyalty and curiosity.  It'll probably be enjoyable on some level.  It's 2015 after all.  The tone and look of GHOSTBUSTERS just isn't like anything made today, at least not in mainstream Hollywood.  I don't care if the jokes are dumb.  I don't find the original riproaringly hilarious.  I just like it.  It's feel-good in a kind of macabre way.  Then the macabre is used as a springboard for some suspense later in the film.  So it works even if you laughed at THE LADIES MAN but didn't during THE CONEHEADS.

barred

I finally downloaded an alternate web browser (Windows 7).
I chose Firefox based on CNET user reviews.  IE (latest version) was having compatability issues with Google or vice versa...so I couldn't blog for awhile.  I came here 2 or 3 times prior to today to blog about something(s) I don't even remember what and came today thinking it'd maybe be fixed, it wasn't.  So I have Firefox :)

I wonder if I'm as evolved as I'll get while on Earth.  I feel lacking in gratitude, ferociously impatient, terminally sad, or angry, and constantly in need of stimulation.  I find it nearly impossible to imbed myself in the life of anyone.  And my interests are extremely limited, so it's gluttony, lust and music.  Music isn't inherently bad, but since I'm terminally sad, listening to happy music does not stimulate me.  Christian music is sometimes sad, but it's so heavy, like God himself if sitting on my head, and then I find myself exhausted.  I just wonder if I'll make it to Heaven.  I surely don't want to spend eternity in a pit of evildoers.

Columbia Pictures presents "GHOSTBUSTERS" A Paul Feig Film

I really don't know why the heck everyone (almost) is bitching and moaning about the upcoming GHOSTBUSTERS film.  People complain "because it's a reboot vs. a sequel" or "because it's directed by Paul Feig"...what the heck??
Bryan Singer directed X-MEN.  And then he directed X-MEN UNITED.  I don't remember if he did the 3rd one or not, but at some point a different director took on the job, and fanboys were enraged over it.  They kept comparing what they felt X-Men should be to the films the director had previously done.  The director talked to Entertainment Weekly about it and basically said you guys are nuts, citing prior uproar over the fact that Bryan Singer was directing X-MEN.  I'm sure there's more examples of this kind of stupidity.
At least one guy on Ghostbustersnews.com said that Paul Feig is a terrible writer and director.  I am curious -- what is on his resume that is so awful?  I may not have any interest in BRIDESMAIDS or any of the small handful of other feature length films he's directed or written, but that doesn't mean he did a poor job with what he was given.  I saw part of it, very small in totality, and it struck me as a quite professional production.  Writing wise, I didn't see enough of it to say anything good or bad about it.  I can't even think of anything else he's done except this other film I was reading about on IMDB called I AM DAVID, which I also haven't seen...not my kinda thing, really...might be something to watch if I had a gathering with friends or family...like on T-day or Xmas...or in an alternate universe where I have friends...in Heaven, there will be more intimate fellowship if I understand correctly, but on present day Earth I am impaired in that regard.  I don't know why we would watch movies in Heaven.  But who knows?  I sure am not qualified to say...

Hit Music in my head 2013-2015

SUMMER BONES by Hit The Lights
STORY SO FAR by Story So Far
THROUGH ART WE ARE EQUALS by Slaves
DISGUSTING by Beartooth
SOVEREIGN by Michael W. Smith
THE BONES OF WHAT YOU BELIEVE by CHVRCHES
TWO-FACED CHARADE by Famous Last Words
WHAT YOU DONT SEE by Story So Far

Most of these I've discovered over the past 6 months to a year.  I just now found out that I actually like Beartooth's DISGUSTING (2014).  I listened to it late last year and I thought very little of it.  Weird.
Mid-late last year I discovered how great We Came As Romans is.  I don't care much for the doomy-Gremlin vocals, but the singer's got a real nice voice and the melodies are great, with a hefty dose of heart pounding anthem-ness!  Same goes with Famous Last Words' TWO-FACED CHARADE.
There might be others I'm forgetting...many of these I haven't bought...I'm not a big fan of Hit The Lights' SUMMER BONES, even though I did enjoy it 2 or 3 times at least.  The songs seem structured very similarly to their past work, almost like what VH1 or MTV (I can't remember which) accused Ace of Base of -- that is, their hits all had the same rhythm.
THROUGH ART WE ARE ALL EQUALS seems quite possibly anti-Christian.  There's the opening track "The Fire Down Below", which says "God stopped listening 'cause the world kept crying".  Then there's the song title of "There Is Only One God And His Name Is Death", which contains a beautiful melody, the lyrics don't contain those words, but I still have to wonder why the band leader Johnny Craig would name the song that.  If I were loaded with $$$(cha-ching), I wouldn't feel too hesitant to spend the $8 Amazon is asking for it, but since I don't even earn my money & I don't have much of it, I don't see how I can justify paying for it.
I did just now buy DISGUSTING by Beartooth.  I'm not sure what the lyrics are about.  I'm half ready to fall asleep, and I'm writing this so I can't even concentrate much on it.  It's only $7 at Amazon w/ free MP3 download.  I might sell it when it comes.
I've bought most of TWO-FACED CHARADE by FLW on MP3, although I didn't save the songs...oh well, I can still listen to it on Rdio or some similar service if I'm at the PC.  Not an urgent matter by any means.  It's not something I generally enjoy listening to.  Not like a daily thing, ya know....

God's love, despite all this...

My mother stated Nobody deserves anything, we are sinners and we are lucky to have hope of eternal life in Heaven with God.  I don't know if this is the general consensus of Christians or if this is just her revealing how she feels about herself.
I didn't find anything in The Bible to support this, either in direct Bible reading or when studying The Story.
I do recall either first or second hand a quote of "the wages of sin is death" or something like that...however, from Adam & Eve onto those early humans who knew of God but decided to build their own God(s), and on to the days of Abraham and Sarah, and the days of Israel's flourishing, there has been numerous opportunities to embrace the one and only true God.  I find it confusing that people found it so difficult.  For me, I find it difficult just accomplishing anything.  I don't work, I have no other things to do that involve opportunities to spread the Gospel of Jesus' love and salvation, and most of the time I just sit on my ass and do what I'm used to doing, shopping and listening to music.  I find it a comfortable yet somewhat sour way to live.  The struggle lies in what many call "self preservation instinct", which may not even be a real thing, maybe it is...I don't parachute, I don't bunji jump, I don't skydive...I haven't tried it, but I have tried the smallest roller coasters and I've sat in the passenger seat while my mother drove on hills, doing whatever trick it was that made my whole lower half of my body go into stroke mode almost...or...idk...not sure how to describe it...you maybe already know what I mean...anyway...It makes perfect sense that the sensation one gets with rollercoasters and rumbly hill drives would be magnified significantly if you do something similar like fall midair or bunji jump...lifestyle changes like getting a job at the age of 31 with no prior job experiences, or deciding to call up The Salvation Army and request and opportunity to volunteer, or whatever, is about the same feeling...just thinking about it gets my heart pounding FT13 style.  I'm not sure that can really be compared to going out of your way to create a God and worship it.  For the people who grew up doing that, it seems like it'd be easy to recognize the Truth.  I still am confused as to what God expects of me.  My pastor seemed adamant that God is calling me to do something.  I'm not sure how he knows this.  If he's calling me, the connection must be broken.

The basic gist of my feelings about "we deserve Hell b/c we're sinners" is that Jesus/God/The Holy Spirit still wants us with Him.  If we're such horrendous creatures, why didn't God wipe us off the face of the earth long ago?  The Bible supposedly preaches Holiness, not sure what that is exactly given the heaping pile of laws the Jews were supposed to keep in order to maintain Holiness and the lifestyle that every non-Amish U.S.A. resident maintains, including my Church of God members...I mean, I could just not sin...I think the only problem I'd have with that is my temper and lack of patience.  I do tend to let rage roam within me.  I need to stop that.  That will probably require the work of The Holy Spirit.  Everything else is pretty easy.  The only hard thing would be remembering all the Jewish laws, which nobody seems keen on emphasizing...during our study of The Story we basically just skipped Leviticus.  I'm not sure I fully understand Jesus message.  I get the idea of God wanting mankind with him and that he died for our salvation.  What I don't get is how Jewish culture and law are treated as irrelevant by Christians, at least today...
I guess it doesn't matter.  I'm powerless, being as I am a mere mortal human being.  It would take a lot to get me free of sin, or even mostly free of it.  There's simply no motivation to stop lusting etc.  Must I abstain from sexual activities before the Holy Spirit tames the beastly rage that overcomes me?  I do believe the idea of Christians being holy is through the power of The Holy Spirit, we are to obtain holiness.  If The Holy Spirit doesn't finish the job while I'm on Earth, what then?  I certainly don't think I'm trying that hard.  Of course, then there's people who work out 3x a week and practically destroy their muscles in the process...I certainly don't want to "burn out" as they say...or...idk...

Another thing I recall is my pastor preaching that God will be more excited to see us than we will be to see him.  To me, that implies that our love for God will still be somewhat lax.  My love for God is so lax it's almost non existent.  But then again, if someone asked me how I know I love my mom, I'd say "Umm...I...um...."  What is love?  I certainly am not devoted.  I don't do favors just to make God happy.  Even with my mother, there's only so far I'm willing to go to make her happy.  I can save her a few steps to the kitchen and make her lunch.  I can't do that for God.  Does God even eat?  Maybe I should set out a sandwich before I go to bed, just as a consideration.
I've heard that in Heaven, we'll no longer be sinful.  I do wonder if in Heaven, some of the things mentioned in The Bible will no longer be so bad.  In Eden, the garden thereof, Adam and Eve were naked.  This was at the beginning of their existence.  Then they ate the apple and their nakedness was considered "indecent exposure".  Also, something I haven't quite figured out for certain: God says to even the Jewish people that anyone who has a constant hankering for meat may eat meat as often as he wants so long as it doesn't have blood in it.  He doesn't specify a serving size or a duration of time that one can spend eating it before it becomes categorized as "gluttony", at least not that I've come across so far.  I know people need to work, but what else?  I'm curious as to how the daily structure of a Jewish person was laid out in God's mind.  I haven't quite gotten to the part where the Jewish people settle into God's promised land, I've been reading about things the Jewish people need to know before overtaking it from the child murdering idol worshippers who lived there.  My mom said one time that the Jewish people never did abide by God's laws.  I know there was an extremely drawn out period of time of idol worship within Israel and that eventually led to Israel being divided into two nations and then eventually losing its' status as a nation altogether.  It wasn't until after Adolf Hitler murdered 6 million of them that the Jewish people were given some land to call their own.

Hmm...
