I think we're catching onto them...

("when all you want is what you're getting/they're catching onto us")

for those of you who aren't lounging in the depths of some mental institution, locked away where no one can hear you and your friends screaming the thoughts that are also going through my head, the title of this post a) refers to a Cartel song titled "A" as in "Answer" and b) refers to the notion of me ("we"; I am crazy, although I'm not actually schizophrenic or multi-personality, I just come off that way to some people sometimes...) "catching on" to what all those music critics and knowlagable music lovers (them) consider to be THE definition(s) of "good taste"

OK! Now that you wasted your time actually reading that, here's a list that takes out most, if not all, of the "throwaway" pop/rock music and inserts a good deal of "real" rock.

American Football - s/t
Cartel - Chroma
Genesis - Invisible Touch
Genesis - Live/The Way We Walk Vol. 1: The Shorts
Genesis - Live/The Way We Walk Vol. 2: The Longs
Genesis - Trespass
Hidden In Plain View - Resolution
Joy Division - Closer
Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures
Mineral - The Power of Failing
Number One Fan - Compromises
Sunny Day Real Estate - Diary
Sunny Day Real Estate - LP2
Trespassers William - Different Stars
Trespassers William - Having
Virginwool- Open Heart Surgery

As far as albums that I, personally, think are THE BEST, most moving and effecting, albums, this is what THAT would look like:

American Football - s/t
Cartel - Chroma
Hidden In Plain View - Resolution
Number One Fan - Compromises
Trespassers William - Different Stars
Trespassers William - Having
